I forgot about Scrambler Marie's!
Rooster's Today
Had some Rooster's sweet tea today for lunch. It's not bad but can be extremely inconsistent depending on who made the stuff. It looks almost light a light colored green tea. And almost has a slight green tea flavor. My guess is that it's some sort of blend. It's not bad and depending on what you are getting a Rooster's, I would recommend it.
So, its been far too long since my last post......
Well I've had quite a few sweet teas and haven't blogged about them. I know I know, I dropped the ball. Well I'm back on here to try and catch up. So first things first, coming in at Number 4 on the top five list......McDonalds! Yes I know, many of you will say "come on, that's not right." Well if you could get the same great tasting sweet tea at every McDonalds then yes, it would be higher up on the list. But, YOU CAN'T!

Coming in at number FIVE
Top Five Countdown!
Be prepared! The Top Five List will be coming one by one! Check back for the lastest posting of the TOP FIVE!!!
Buffalo Wings and Rings

I stopped by Buffalo wings and Rings during the Buckeye game yesterday and gave their sweet tea a shot. Well, I think the easy way to put it is that their sweet tea tastes like a dirty wash cloth was mixed in with the tea. So, definitely not going to make any top five or even top ten list. I wouldn't recommend the sweet tea at all. Wings are ok, appetizers are pretty darn good. Sweet tea sucks.

Pomegranate Again
So I went to Pomegranate today for a work luncheon and I must say that it was the best service I have ever had there!!! Thank you Pomegranate! The waitress was kind enough to give me two glasses of sweet tea and she kept it coming as soon as I was done with one. The sweet tea seemed a little sweeter than normal, and of course, makes it more enjoyable for me.

Wendy's Sweet Tea

Ok, since McDonalds have been advertising their Sweet Tea along with their $1.00 drinks, Wendy's finally came out with a Sweet Tea. It is definitely not top five worthy, but is a good tasting sweet tea in its own right. It's pretty pain, and as long as it comes cold, its pretty tasty. Nothing really stands our from this tea. If you went to a gas station and got the Lipton Sweet Tea, not the extra sweet southern style, just the regular sweet tea, it would probably remind you of the Wendy's sweet tea. I enjoy the food at Wendy's and since I don't mind the sweet tea, it makes for a more enjoyable meal.
Waffle House!!!

Ok, I used to LOVE their sweet tea. Waffle House is gr
eat any time of day and their sweet tea is always readily available. They call it "Alice's Iced Tea." They use a vendor called "Royal Cup" who combines different tea flavors with a china black tea to create their sweet tea. They store it in a warm container and pour it over ice, so sometimes if you forget to stir/shake it, you'll get a hint of warm tea. None the less, it was once on my psudeo famous top five list at one time but has since lost its standings. If you are craving sweet tea at 3:00 a.m. then Waffle House is the place to go. As long as there isn't a McDonalds near by ;-)

So I've been a little behind on my blog posts, so I'll have a few posts coming here soon. A couple of weeks ago I had some sweet tea from Pomegranate over on N. Hamilton Rd. The brand of tea they have is Shangri La. If you prefer a more leafy tea flavor than the sweet flavor, then this is the sweet tea for you. This is one sweet tea that probably would have been a little better with a lemon in it. But, the food there is great! So if you have the opportunity to go there, do it. My only negative experience about that place is customer service is hit or miss. My last time there was good but the time before that, the customer service was a wreck.

Raisin' Canes

Since I sadly haven't been to Raisin' Canes in awhile, I decided to take care of that by getting a "Jug" of their sweet tea. It has been and still is my favorite restaurant/fast food sweet tea. They are more consistent than any other place with how their sweet tea taste and simply put, its my favorite.
McDonald's on the way home
So I stopped at a McDonald's on the way home from the Outer Banks. I believe it was somewhere in Virginia. Anyway, the sweet was a little different than it is up here in Ohio. Not sure why, but it seemed to taste a little less leafy. It was good, just a little different.
A Root Beer worth mentioning

Jimmy's Seafood Buffet in North Carolina
This sweet tea deserves a mention. The waiter kept the sweet tea to the brim for our table! This was one of the freshest sweet teas I have had in quite some time. I'm not sure how it will fit into the rankings of restaurant/fast food sweet teas since I'm not completely sure where/how many Jimmy's Seafood Buffets there are. BUT, their sweet tea is amazing! I would put it in the top three on my list if I knew there were more readily available to me. I'll do some more research on this to determine whether they should go on the list or not.
If you have the opportunity to go to Jimmy's Seafood Buffet, I would suggest you do!

McDonalds Sweet Tea tonight

Tonight I had some McDonalds sweet tea. Their sweet tea is one of the more sweet sweet teas, of which I prefer, and tonight was no exception. Nice and cold and it came in the new plastic cups instead of the styrofoam cups. Yeah, those wonderful styrofoam cups where if you don't put the straw in just right, you poke a hole through the cup and GREAT you have a sweet tea flood on your hands.... And half the time the employees' hands are greasy and end up transferring that wonderful grease onto the wonderful styrofoam cup that loves to attach to grease...UGH! Hahaha! Enough whining, the McDonalds sweet tea was everything I know and love!
